Not his first violation

The Washington Free Beacon reports that Governor Gretchen Whitmer did not wear a mask during a political event in Washington, DC

The news site posted footage of Whitmer in a crowded Washington Hotel bar. The Washington Free Beacon reported that a member of hotel staff said bar patrons were required to wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.

“Whitmer also didn’t go without a mask,” wrote the Washington Free Beacon. “Several people standing near the governor were wearing masks. “

The Washington, DC Department of Health has put in place a mask warrant. The guide states: “Masking rules: everyone (including fully vaccinated people) must wear masks: UPDATE: in indoor public places. This includes any business or establishment open to members of the public (including, but not limited to: grocery stores, restaurants and bars (when they are not eating or drinking), places of worship, gyms, office buildings, libraries, indoor entertainment venues… ”

The guide also states: “Choosing not to wear a mask puts your own health at risk as well as the health of others (such as people who are not immunocompromised and may not be fully protected from the vaccine, and people who are not immune to the vaccine. are not yet eligible to be vaccinated as children under 12).

Whitmer was in the nation’s capital to campaign for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe.

The governor of Michigan has a history of violating COVID protocols.
