Teachers likely to receive a salary before Diwali
Aurangabad, October 23:
Thousands of teachers working at Zilla Parishad and subsidized private schools are likely to receive their October salary before Diwali. It can be noted that the state government has adopted information and communication technologies (ICT) in administration.
Yet teachers are getting their salaries from seven to 15 days next month. Teachers have long been asking for their pay to be released on the first day of the new month. According to sources, the finance department made funds available to the school education department for teachers and non-staff before October 20.
The school education service sent the salary fund to the commissioner and director of education the following day.
The sources said the secretary of the Finance Department and the Accounts and Treasury Department asked all departments to submit a payroll invoice by October 28. The five-day celebration will begin on November 2.

Meanwhile, various teachers ‘unions, including Akhil Bhartiya Urdu Shikshak Sangh, submitted a memorandum to the finance minister recently calling for the release of teachers’ salaries before Diwali.
