Female professors/researchers in engineering exposed to research ideas, research funding during grant writing workshop

Female engineering professors/researchers from less endowed engineering/technology institutions/universities in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana were exposed to research ideas, research funding, evaluation of research grants and related aspects during a workshop on Proposal Writing R&D Grant for Women Engineers held on 10-11 November 2022 at IIT Tirupati.

The workshop jointly organized by the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST encouraged women engineers in the country to undertake research and seek funding for their research proposals. Engineers were educated on the role of funding agencies, type of fellowship, how to write a fellowship, proposal content, proposal wording, ways to defend a fellowship, and the implementation of research grants.
