Felician University Announces New Funding Program

RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University is proud to announce the approval of a new Bachelor of Science in Finance in the School of Business & Information Sciences. The Finance program will begin in the fall of 2023.

Dr. Philip Rothman, who laid the foundation for this new undergraduate degree, along with Dr. David Turi and Dr. Karen Beerbower will serve as full-time faculty for the program. Dr Rothman, who has 24 years of industry experience in corporate banking and financial risk management, said: “The program was developed by faculty from the School of Business and Information Sciences to prepare students with advanced content knowledge and a diverse skill set. they will need to succeed professionally in finance. Students will learn the basic skills of financial literacy and management as well as the importance of critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and teamwork.

Coinciding with the launch of the finance major, construction of a new state-of-the-art finance lab that will contain 16 Bloomberg terminals providing faculty and students with access to industry-standard financial information systems, to live market data, current news and events, and insight from leading experts in the field.

The Felician University Finance program prioritizes related curricula, courses, and classroom activities that focus on the intersection of business and sustainability, social responsibility, strong corporate governance, and promoting ethical professionals.
