Community Building and Annapolis Symphony Academy to Receive AMFM Summer Grants

Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians, Inc. (AMFM) is awarding $6,000 of its David Glaser Education Grant to be split between two organizations whose local summer music programs benefit underserved students in the greater Annapolis area .

The Creating Communities Art Mentoring Academy is a week-long summer intensive where elementary and middle school students from low-income families participate in a variety of art forms and receive one-on-one attention and mentoring by the through programs and workshops offered by master teachers and artists. Annapolis Symphony Academy’s summer program provides a high-level musical education to students from all cultural and economic backgrounds with weekly private lessons, ensemble rehearsals, guest artist workshops, and access to performances , recitals and ensemble concerts of the Annapolis Symphony.
