All Lancashire roads where temporary radars will include Lancaster, Chorley and Morecambe


Temporary speed cameras are in circulation in Lancashire today, with police indicating exactly where they will be to warn motorists to drive slowly.

The Lancashire Road Safety Partnership has warned that they will be in place in Lancaster, Morecambe and Chorley throughout Wednesday October 20.

One of the aims of the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership is to improve driver behavior by helping motorists drive at a suitable and safe speed within designated limits. For this reason, officers use security camera enforcement vehicles in Lancashire seven days a week.

The cameras use very precise laser technology to detect speeding motorists, but they are also used to identify other offenses, including drivers who are not controlling properly or not wearing their seat belts.

Mobile sites are assessed for safety risks and how often police visit different locations with sites based on victim data, known speed issues, when a report has been reported. was done directly by a member of the public concerned about speed issues in their area with any location that has a fixed roadside camera.
