ACHIEVEMENTS:
* EMMRC, Anna University had begun its programme production in the year 1987.
* In the beginning, on an average it had a target of one to two programmes per month. Over a period of eight years, the rate of programme production has been accelerated and presently it is averaging eight programmes per month.
* The total number of programmes produced so far is about 585 (Enrichment – 400, Curriculum Based Programmes – 185, E-Content – 53)
* In 2005, the Year of Physics, EMMRC, Chennai has produced more than 100 Programmes in the subject Physics alone.

• ANNA FM @ 90.4 MHz. - India’s First Campus Community Radio of 11 hours transmission • AUTDCC (Anna University Training and Development Communication Channel) 5 hours telecast - (3 hours Live Interactive session) • Workshops (International & National) • Trainings • Conferences • Seminars • Internship • Training to Media Students
* EMMRC, Chennai has organized an “International workshop for Community Radio station Managers” during December 2004. The workshop was funded by the Commonwealth of Learning with the support of UNESCO
* Anna FM is organizing a “Musical Talent Hunt Contest –2006” from May 2 – 6, 2006.
* Workshop on Script Writing for Educational TV held at EMMRC on 18.3.2005.
* A National Level Seminar on “Media and Disaster Management” was jointly organized by Department of Media Sciences, CEG, Anna University and our Centre, which was held on March 19, 2005 at Anna University.
* EMMRC organized a 5 day training programme on “Creating awareness on utilization of Multimedia” to the faculty members of Directorate of Teachers Education Research and Training for five Saturdays with media and academic experts.
* “Young Voices” workshop for Disc Jockey and Video Jockey held at EMMRC Studio from 1st to 7th August 2005 organized by INTER NEWS and UNICEF.
