1. Establishment:

EMMRC, Anna University, Chennai was first established as an Audio Visual Research Centre (AVRC) in the year 1985 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on a 100% grant basis

2. Objectives

The objective of the centre is to produce ETV programmes for CWCR and conduct appropriate research in all aspects of software for education communication

3. Programme Production :

The AVRC, Anna University had begun its programme production in the year 1987.
